DES MOINES — The 89-year-old Gowrie man who suffered severe injuries as the result of a crash near State Center on Wednesday afternoon has died at a Des Moines hospital.
Marshall County Sheriff Joel Phillips confirmed that Robert Craigmile, 89, who had been reported missing out of Webster County the day before the accident, passed away on Thursday as a result of the injuries he sustained in the motor vehicle crash. The Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office has assumed jurisdiction in this death.
Craigmile was operating a passenger vehicle and collided with a semi driven by 38-year-old Joshua Good of Ogden, who was uninjured in the accident. The crash occurred near the intersection of Highway 30 and Durham Avenue.
