Iowa State Patrol identifies victims in fatal Delaware County crash that injured two Iowa City residents

The Iowa State Patrol has identified a Dubuque man who died and two Iowa City residents who were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Delaware County early Saturday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says a 2010 Toyota Prius and a 2015 Honda CRV were parked on the eastbound shoulder of Highway 20 near Manchester just after 2 a.m. when they were both struck by an eastbound 2018 Chevy Equinox being driven by 21-year-old Sophia Gorton of Lamotte.

The driver of the Honda…Isaac Gill of Dubuque…was standing near his car and was struck and killed.

The occupants of the Prius…20-year-old Ahmed Ismail and 32-year-old Ada Alvira, both of Iowa City…were injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
