Boone Mayor, Dave Casotti, visits about the Boone City Council meeting Monday, August 3rd. Casotti talked about the report from Kris Blocker, Boone County Convention and Visitors Bureau (Visit Boone County). She began with a quick summary on the success of RAGBRAI overnighting in Boone. Casotti talked about some of the Council’s actions from the Public Safety Committee meeting last week. He also talked about the public comments from a resident displaced by flooding early in July and the poor response from the new building owners. He also talked about the ongoing discussion about nitrates in the water supply, which he pointed out remain below established reporting levels.
