An Anamosa man was injured in an accident in Central City early Friday morning.
The accident happened shortly after 1:30 am on West Maple Street and Highway 13. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year old Jeffery Heims was driving a truck pulling a camper when he stopped and got out of his truck to check the lights on the camper. He failed to put the truck in park and the truck rolled over his left leg.
Heims was transported to a local hospital by Center Point Ambulance for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
