Mahaska County Board of Supervisors to meet July 20 in Oskaloosa

The Mahaska County Board of Supervisors will hold a meeting on July 20 at 9:00 a.m. in the third-floor conference room of the Mahaska County Courthouse at 106 South 1st Street, Oskaloosa, according to a July 17 agenda notice.

The meeting will be live-streamed and an audio conferencing option is available for constituents wishing to comment during public comments or any public hearing. Agenda items include consideration of the agenda, public comments, an update from Carosh Compliance, renewal of fiscal year 2026/27 services with Carosh Compliance, consideration of an AI use policy, and discussion on the AHEAD Regional Housing Trust Fund contribution for 2027.

Other items listed are approval of disallowances per recommendation from the county assessor, approving replacement of NVR or hard drive equipment, cancellation of outstanding disbursements for fiscal year 2024/25, renewal approval for an alcohol license for Dollar General in New Sharon, and review and approval of Veteran’s Affairs fourth quarter activity report and VA FY26/27 IDVA allocation report.

The board will also consider possible sale of Rose Hill Boat Ramp; Resolution 2026-07 regarding budget appropriations; adoption of a 28E agreement with the City of Oskaloosa for MODES Build grant application; policy terms for potential new agreements with all cities regarding emergency services; and further opportunity for public comments.
