A local transient convicted of arson has been given credit for time served.
That was the sentence handed down by Judge Brandon Schrock last week in the 3rd Degree Arson case against 45-year-old Andres Diaz. Diaz was accused of using a lighter to start a fire in a planter box outside the Bread Garden Market on South Linn Street in the early morning hours of June 25th. The incident was captured on video.
Total damage was estimated at under $500.
