The suspect in a Solon burglary case is also wanted in Washington County.
That’s according to Washington County dispatch records, which indicate 33-year-old Jacob Ray…a former Riverside resident…skipped an April 24th hearing regarding failing to make child support payments. Washington County officials have requested extradition from Johnson County.
Ray was arrested Saturday night after he allegedly walked to a neighbor’s house on Dillons Furrow Road just before 7:45 p.m. to ask if he could borrow some charcoal. The elderly resident refused, and Ray allegedly shoved the entry door open and into the man and walked inside. Investigators say Ray then threw several items around the house and shoved the resident to the ground. Ray allegedly took the man’s cellphone to keep him from calling 9-1-1.
Ray is charged with 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Robbery, Assault, and Obstruction of Emergency Communications. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum of over 35 years in prison.
