EARLIER: A Quad-City Democrat plans to run for Illinois’ 17th Congressional District seat.
Randy Flowers will formally announce his candidacy Tuesday, October 21, at 5:30 p.m. at Schwiebert Park in Rock Island.
Flowers intends to challenge incumbent Eric Sorensen.
