A man from Dixon has been arrested after police say he fired gunshots in a field.
The Dixon Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in a field off of Tilton Park Drive on July 21 at about 4:25 a.m. When officers arrived, they spoke with witnesses, who told them they heard numerous shots fired in the field behind their houses.
Officers investigated and arrested Kairyn Lottman, 18 of Dixon, for reckless discharge of a firearm, a class 4 felony, and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition without requisite firearm owner’s identification Card, a class A misdemeanor.
