As announced recently, the Mount Ayr Public Library now offers patrons the ability to browse its entire collection online.
The web address mtayr.biblionix.com will take patrons to a home page that allows patrons to see a list of the most popular selections as well as the latest additions to the library’s collection.
A special section on the website is devoted specifically to the reading interests of young patrons.
The “Kids Catalog” (pictured above) features a visual list of 86 subject areas available to browse. In addition, the site will allow users to search for books on any subject not represented on the visual scroll or category list.
All categories may be split between fiction and non-fiction selections.
Another screen provides access to books in a series popular with young readers.
Once located, the site will inform the patron whether the item is available to check out.
