Friday’s games were the final regular season contests in Class 3A, 4A and 5A while serving as the first round of the 8P, A, 1A and 2A playoffs. All smaller schools who did not qualify for postseason play were allowed to play contests against other non-qualifiers, and most did.
The second round of the playoffs for small schools are Oct. 29, which will serve as the first round for Class 3A, 4A and 5A. The 8P quarterfinals are Nov. 4, with all other classes playing quarterfinals Nov. 5. All will begin at 7 p.m.
The semifinals will be played at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls Nov. 10-13 with championships the following week.
