Western Dubuque is headed back to the State Volleyball Tournament to defend their championship from last season. The Bobcats advanced to the 4A State Tournament field by disposing of Charles City 3-0 last night in Region 6 Final at Epworth. Western Dubuque will play Monday night against Indianola at the Xtreme Arena in Coralville.
Senior and Wahlert came up short of their bid to get to state. The Rams lost at #3 Pleasant Valley 3-0 in the 5A Region 8 championship. The Golden Eagles fell in 3 sets at 7th ranked Osage in the Class 3A Region 5 Final.
- Tonight Beckman Catholic plays in the 2A Region 7 Final against #3 Wapsie Valley at West Delaware High School for a trip to state.
