AMES — Police are investigating a shooting in the 3800 block of Tripp Street after a suspect fired several shots into the air Sunday evening. No injuries were reported.
Police received a shots-fired call at 5:51 p.m. Sept. 27. The shooting stemmed from an argument involving multiple people, according to a department news release.
The shots were fired outside a building, Ames Police Sgt. Amber Christian told the Iowa State Daily Monday, based on reports made from the scene.
“It still remains under investigation. No arrests have been made,” Christian said.
Police said they are interviewing people involved and do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
