At $239,547, the statewide typical home value for Iowa remained higher than Iowa County’s figure by $3,048. The U.S. typical home value was $368,697, or $132,198 above the county’s value. Among the 99 Iowa counties and county equivalents with Zillow home value data for August 2026, Iowa County’s figure ranked 29th-highest. Over the past year, the statewide value rose 2.9%, while nationwide the increase was 0.2%.
U.S. single-family house prices were 33.4% higher in the second quarter of 2026 than five years earlier, according to the FHFA House Price Index.
