Two people were injured in a collision in Dubuque County on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened on the east side of Peosta at the intersection of Highway 20 and Cox Springs Road around 7:30 am.
The Iowa State Patrol says a SUV driven by 24-year old Emily Tillander of Peosta was southbound from Cox Springs Road crossing Highway 20 and failed to yield the right of way to westbound traffic. Tillander’s SUV was struck in the driver’s door by another SUV.
Tillander was injured and transported to Finley Hospital in Dubuque before being airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. The driver of the other SUV, 34-year old Candis Grap of Dubuque, was injured and transported to MercyOne in Dubuque.
