Applications are due for those interested in filling Manchester’s vacant city council seat.
The seat was left vacant after Bryan Gray announced his immediate resignation at the July 27th council meeting due to health issues.
City Manager Brock Waters says Manchester residents are welcome to apply for the seat if they’re interested. It’s an At-Large seat, so anyone of age in the city limits is eligible.
Applications are due by noon this Friday. You can find the application on the City of Manchester’s website, and printed copies are also available to pick up at City Hall.
Completed applications should be returned to Manchester City Hall (Attn: City Clerk) at 208 East Main Street, Manchester, IA 52057.
The Council will review on Monday, with plans to appoint a new council member on September 8th.
