Several livestock were euthanized following a semi rollover in Fayette County on Monday.
The crash happened in the 9000 block of Eisenhower Road. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says Michael Wilson of Waucoma was driving a semi pulling a loaded livestock trailer when he lost control navigating a curve in the road. The semi and trailer rolled into the ditch.
Some of the livestock had to be euthanized. The semi and trailer are considered a total loss.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, the Arlington Fire Department and first responders, Edgewood Auto, and a large animal veterinarian.
