Clayton County Conservation is inviting the community to celebrate fall, conservation, creativity, and the great outdoors at Osborne Days – a new fall festival taking place next month at Osborne Park five miles south of Elkader.
Formerly known as Heritage Days, Osborne Days is a reimagined community event. The festival is designed to offer something for everyone, with hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, contests, outdoor recreation, conservation education, local makers, and family-friendly experiences throughout the weekend. You will see some of the old mixed with some new.
On Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th from 10 am to 4 pm each day, visitors can explore a variety of activities and demonstrations focused on enjoying and learning about the outdoors. Planned experiences include scavenger hunts, hiking, education trailers, great pumpkin contest, decorated pumpkin contest, conservation and environmental presentations, hands-on workshops, and interactive booths.
Osborne Days will also feature a marketplace highlighting locally made and handmade goods. Shoppers can browse artisanal foods, crafts, artwork, home décor, and other unique creations from talented regional makers.
Clayton County Conservation staff says they’re excited to introduce Osborne Days as a fresh take on a longtime fall tradition.
