Linn County Supervisor Scheetz Hosting Town Hall for Residents

Linn County Supervisor Sami Scheetz will host an open town hall for Linn County residents tonight at 6 p.m. in the Whipple Auditorium at the downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library.

Supervisor Scheetz will give a brief overview of policy decisions made by the Linn County Board of Supervisors over the past year, then open the floor to questions from residents for the remainder of the evening.

The past year has brought significant activity in county government, including questions related to energy development and the growth of AI infrastructure, county zoning and land use, social services, public health, and changes in state law affecting county programs. Residents are encouraged to raise any topic related to Linn County government.

The event is free, open to all Linn County residents, and no registration is required.

Residents who are unable to attend can share input by contacting the Board of Supervisors office at 319-892-5000 or email the Board of Supervisors.
