A man was arrested in East Moline on drugs and weapons charges after an investigation by the Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group (QC MEG), according to a news release from the group.
QC MEG agents conducted a narcotics and weapons investigation, along with the Moline/East Moline Crisis Containment Unit and the East Moline Police Department on June 25 at about 6 a.m.
The investigation led to the arrest of Joshua J. McConnell, 38, on charges of:
- Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
- Possession with intent to deliver 15+ grams of cocaine
- Possession of a stolen firearm
- Possession with intent to deliver cannabis 500-2,000 grams
- Unlawful possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender.
McConnell was on conditional discharge in Rock Island County for aggravated battery at the time of his arrest. He is being held in the Rock Island County Jail on no bond while he waits for an initial court appearance.
