SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — SafePlace and Simple Life are competing in Coffee King’s latest Battle of the Brews fundraiser!
Iowa Media Wire 9 News got a chance to speak with Sheri Porter from Simple Life and Stephanie Pickenpaugh from SafePlace to find out the flavor in this year’s Battle of the Brews.
SafePlace selected the Sumatra Dark as their single origin and Captian Crunch as their flavor and Simple Life selected Tanzania Peaberry for their simple origin and the Cinnamon Sugar Pop-tart for their flavor.
By purchasing one of the selected blends, buyers can cast their vote and donate proceeds to the organizations. Forty percent of the proceeds will go towards support programs for the two Siouxland area nonprofits, including additional cash prizes based on the number of bags sold by each nonprofit.
All the Coffees are available Ground or Whole Bean. They can be ordered on the SafePlace website, by calling 712-277-0131, or in person at Coffee King.
