There were four gas stations in cities across Mahaska County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.39 per gallon in the week ending Apr. 20, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of regular gas in cities within Mahaska County was $3.40 per gallon.

Of the six gas stations in cities within Mahaska County, five offer regular gas.

The average price of regular gas in Iowa was $3.31, compared to $3.23 the week before.

Drivers across the U.S. have faced a rollercoaster of gas prices in recent months and years. Though the cost of a gallon of gas is dropping, experts suggest they may rise to $4 before the end of 2024.
