Whether students are just starting college or returning to continue their studies, things can get expensive. As college costs continue to rise, Iowa State students can take advantage of a variety of discounts on everything from streaming services to food and entertainment.
Here are some of the discounts available for students:
Streaming Services
Paramount+ – Students can verify their student status to receive 50% off Paramount+ for 12 months. Students must verify their status annually.
Hulu – Students can get the Hulu with Ads plan for $1.99 per month with student verification.
(Student verification is on the Student Beans App).
Amazon Prime – Students can receive six months of Amazon Prime for free. After the six-month period, the subscription renews at half the standard monthly rate.
Creative Tools
Adobe Creative Cloud Pro – Students can get Creative Cloud Pro for $19.99 per month for the first year. The plan includes more than 20 apps, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Food
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers – Show an Iowa State ID every Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to receive a free regular fry and medium drink with the purchase of a sandwich.
DoorDash DashPass – Get one year of DashPass on DoorDash for free with student verification. This includes $0 delivery fees, deals on orders, and more.
Entertainment
CyBowl & Billiards Buck Bowling – Students can get $1 games, shoes and sodas Sundays and Mondays from noon to 10 p.m. with an Iowa State ID.
Bluestream Boulders – During the school year, students can get a $15 Community Pass every Tuesday with an Iowa State ID.
Ames/ISU Ice Arena – Students can pay $5 every Wednesday night with an Iowa State ID. (Discount only applies for public skating).
Veterinary Services
Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center – Current Iowa State students, faculty and staff receive 15% off veterinary services.

Student Beans and UNiDays – Both apps can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store and offer student discounts from various companies, including streaming services, restaurants, travel companies and everyday brands.
