An alleged assault outside a Coralville mall has led to an assault charge against an Iowa County man.
Coralville Police say just after midnight Sunday morning 36-year-old Ryan Werning of Marengo approached another vehicle outside Coral Ridge Mall, opened the car door, and placed his hands on another person’s throat, causing pain.
Werning was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
