The Delaware County Relay for Life is taking place today.
It’s a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, held every two years in Delaware County. There are two parts to this year’s event – a Radiothon on KMCH this afternoon and walking in downtown Manchester tonight.
Tune in to Mix 94.7 KMCH from 1:30 to 4:30 pm as Eric Walker brings you stories from Delaware County cancer survivors and those who are involved in the fight against cancer. You’ll be invited to call KMCH at (563) 927-8808 with your pledges to make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
And tonight, you can attend the Relay for Life in a new location in the Milestones Group parking lot in downtown Manchester. Committee chairs Pat McCormac and Sue Becker invite cancer survivors to join them at 5 pm, with the community encouraged to come show their support.
Luminaries will be available to purchase tonight for five dollars in honor or in memory of a loved one with cancer. Tonight’s Relay will also include games, food and live music – it runs from 5 to 7 pm.
