An Urbandale man was arrested early Friday after allegedly threatening to kill two workers at a West Des Moines strip club.
Austin Craig Stotts, 27, of 3706 131st St., Urbandale, was charged with two counts of first-degree harassment and public intoxication.
The incident began about 3 a.m. Friday at a strip club in the 6200 block of Raccoon River Drive, where officers of the West Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victims, who told the officers that after Stotts was removed from the business “due to intoxication,” he allegedly said to two of the workplace’s employees, “I’ll kill you both,” according to court records.
The victims told the officers that Stotts attempted to reenter the location “multiple times,” saying “Let’s see what you’re made of,” according to court records.
The officers made contact with Stotts, who presented with “slurred speech, bloodshot watery eyes, an unsteady gait and the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person,” according to court records.
Stotts was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $4,300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 11 in Dallas County District Court.
