The Bulldog baseball team traveled to St. Mary on Tuesday, May 19, for a double-header against the Martensdale-St. Mary’s Blue Devils after their home opener was cancelled on Monday due to incoming storms.
In the first matchup, the Bulldogs started with Nolan Drake on the mound and scored their only run in the top of the fourth inning when John Deemer got on base after being hit by a pitch. Dylan Reynolds then singled. A balk by the Blue Devil pitcher advanced the runners on the base path and put two Bulldogs in scoring position. Quentin Dalton then singled to score Deemer for the Bulldogs for a final score of 1-16 after four innings of play.
