A Minnesota woman was arrested Saturday after she allegedly assaulted a Minnesota man in Waukee.
Kelly Monson, 41, of 5542 Toledo Ave., Crystal, Minnesota, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness and violation of a no-contact order.
The incident began about 3 a.m. Saturday at a residence in the 600 block of N.E. Alice’s Road in Waukee, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Monson allegedly “struck the male in the face multiple times, causing him to suffer from a bloody lip and scratches to his chest,” according to court records.
Monson was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 2 in Dallas County District Court.
