I attended a Zach Lahn event a few months ago with my mom and a friend of mine. I had met all the other Republican candidates and had heard so much about Zach Lahn, with him being on the Shawn Ryan Show and on Tucker Carlson. I was so eager to meet him, and as he came out at the event, I was going to approach him but, didn’t have to.
He came right up and talked to my friend and me. He knew me from social media, and had talked to us and gotten a photo with us. I had put together a question for Zach for his Q&A session after his speech, and when the time came, I asked it.
I asked him how I was going to help young Conservatives, people in my generation, who are typically more naïve when it comes to seeing past politicians’ professional oratory and persuasion. I told Zach how so many young Republicans in Gen Z pay attention to impressive vocabulary, rather than actual ideas and solutions. I want people my own age to see past the RINOS and be able to decipher who’s genuine by accounting for good plans instead of dramatic promises.
And to say the least, his answer blew me away.
He talked about many things, but he emphasized how Gen Z has been lied to by every establishment organization in our time.
He pointed out the Somali fraud in Minnesota and asked us, ” Who’s actually been prosecuted?” And he’s not wrong; so many people have gotten away with evil even when it’s been exposed.
But what he said here really hit me, and I’ve never thought about it the same since. He talked about how in the Bible, when the woman with the bleeding issue touched Jesus, He said to His disciples, “Power went from me.”
And Zach said he wanted to ask everyone, but especially people in Gen Z, when someone is looking to you for hope, is there any power that can go from you to give them hope?
I loved that so much.
All in all, he encouraged me that when my peers check out, I must give them a reason not to. Remind them that there is hope, despite how it may feel like a lost cause.
I write this to say that I have never met a more genuine politician, and never been more impressed with actual ideas and solutions to Iowa’s problems than Zach Lahn’s. Sophisticated words and amazing answers, yes, but I encourage people to look at his ideas rather than just being impressed by his words, although I was too.
Like I said previously, I’ve met all the Republican candidates. And I find many people are deceived by motivational speeches rather than what really matters; finding a leader that truly will take lowa to better heights. To have power go from you to give people hope is what we need, and to give up because we feel like it’s a losing battle is not how we will save the republic. No matter what you think of Shawn Ryan or Tucker Carlson, those were merely platforms meant to propel Zach forward. Never have I been more impressed by everything he plans to do for lowa, or felt like he’s a candidate that will make us lose hope, but rather give us hope.
He has plans to fix the cancer crisis, he has plans to help education, he has plans to help out water system, and he has good plans. He doesn’t just say he wants to fix them, he tells about the plans he has to.
If I were of voting age, you would catch me voting for Zach Lahn as the best Republican candidate in this lowa gubernatorial race. No empty promises, no empty pep talks, real analysis on lowa’s core issues and real solutions. Young Gen Z’ers, go vote, because there is hope in Jesus. And through people, He works.
Please, go vote June 2nd for Zach Lahn.
