A Dallas Center man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted a Dallas Center woman and threatened to kill law enforcement officers.
Daniel William Dieleman, 41, of 1500 Vine St., Dallas Center, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness, child endangerment and three counts of first-degree harassment.
The incident began about 7 p.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 1500 block of Vine Street, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that in the course of a rolling domestic Dieleman allegedly “punched her upper left arm with a closed fist” and “grabbed her by the head and hair,” according to court records.
The deputies “observed redness on the victim’s upper left arm” and “minor bleeding to the victim’s left wrist,” according to court records.
Dieleman also allegedly told the victim “he was going to kill all three occupants inside the vehicle by crashing the vehicle,” according to court records.
Dieleman then allegedly “obtained a Bulldog M357 PCP air rifle” from the garage and said “he would shoot responding law enforcement and himself before going to jail,” according to court records.
The deputies made contact with Dieleman, who allegedly “yelled out” “from the attic window. ‘If you fuck with me, I will shoot you,’” according to court records.
Dieleman was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 1 in Dallas County District Court.
