A Cedar Rapids man was arrested after an alleged theft at Coral Ridge Mall.

Police say 51-year-old Marcus Pryor was at the Spencer Gifts store at the Coralville facility on April 30th. While there, he allegedly selected and concealed merchandise into reusable shopping bags in a shopping cart, then exited the store past all points of sale without paying for the merchandise.

Pryor reportedly worked with two other suspects in committing the theft.

Store personnel estimate the value of the stolen merchandise at over $800.

A warrant was issued for Pryor’s arrest May 15th; he was arrested Thursday and charged with 3rd degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to two years.

Pryor was released on his own recognizance pending arraignment.
