Untangle those Christmas lights and decorate a float to participate in the Taylor County Fair Board’s first Lighted Christmas Parade. This event will take place on Friday, December 5 starting at 6 p.m. The parade route will go around the gravel circle drive of the fairgrounds. There will also be a free will donation soup supper and a very special visit from Santa Claus! The soup supper and Santa will be in the Red Barn. The proceeds of the soup supper will help fund electrical updates and shade for the show arena.
The Fair Board wanted to find a way to show off the beautiful fairgrounds for more than just the Taylor County Fair. Having a lighted Christmas parade is one more way to get people down to the fairgrounds and see the updates and how beautiful the grounds are. The Fair Board recently held a vendor fair at the fairgrounds as another fundraiser event.
