OKOBOJI, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Fall was in the air at Camp Foster in the Iowa Great Lakes.
the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual “fall festival” at the camp on the shores of East Lake, Okoboji.
The free family event included trick-or-treating for the kids, crafts, animals from the humane society, a scooter give-away and a chance to get outdoors and enjoy nature.
“Our entire business community comes together; they set up fun booths as you can see behind me. We have mammoth hockey behind us here. We have a ton of other; we have picture frames, we have bobbing for apples. Everyone just comes together for this free event for the kiddos and it’s a fun way to break out your Halloween costumes as well,” Morgan Strauss, the director of Marketing and Events said.
The event ran from 10 to 2 today. Organizers say they expected about two-thousand people to attend.
