SOUTH DAKOTA (Iowa Media Wire) — A South Dakota couple is suing an Iowa carbon pipeline company for surveying their land against their will. Jared and Tara Bossly of rural Aberdeen entered the lawsuit this week in brown county.
They claim Summit Carbon Solutions trespassed on their land to do survey work for a CO2 pipeline.
The survey work on the Bossly’s land reportedly happened a little over two years ago. At that time, other landowners had an appeal pending before the South Dakota Supreme Court for similar claims.
Over two circuit court rulings that allowed those kinds of surveys to take place. The suit claims that Summit knew about the pending appeal when the survey of the Bossly’s land was done.
