A Perry woman was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly threatening another Perry woman with physical harm.
Sandra Lynn Wontroba Burge, 65, of 803 Third St., Perry, was charged with assault with intent to cause pain/injury, third-degree harassment, interference with official acts and public intoxication.
The incident began about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, when officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of an assault.
On 10/21/2025, at approximately 2108 hours, the above named victim called emergency services due to having an encounter with the above named defendant.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Montroba Burge had allegedly “gotten physically close and proceeded to berate her” and told the victim “that she would cause her physical harm,” according to court records.
Montroba Burge presented with “an odor of an alcoholic beverage,” and she allegedly “proceeded to physically resist officers” when they tried to handcuff her, according to court records.
When asked during processing whether she had any tattoos, Montroba Burge allegedly “proceeded to show her breasts and pulled down her clothing to show off bruises,” according to court reords.
Wontroba Burge is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,200 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a pretrial conference Nov. 25 in Dallas County District Court.
Wontroba Burge was arrested on a charge of first-offense older individual assault in Waukee in June. The case is pending in Dallas County District Court. She was convicted of fist-offense public intoxication in 2000 in Dallas County District Court. She was convicted of second-offense public intoxication in 2000 in Dallas County District Court. She was convicted of third or subsequent offense public intoxication in 2000 in Dallas County District Court. She was convicted of third or subsequent offense public intoxication in 2001 in Dallas County District Court.
