'Pay what you want' at Rock Island Downtown Library book sale

Rock Island Public Library Foundation PALS volunteers will host the “pay what you want” book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th St., a news release says.

The sale offers options to affordably stock up on a variety of books and other items for children, teens, adults in a variety of reading styles – fiction, non-fiction, cooking and instructional books, and more. Buyers can set their own price on books that are not specially marked.

The specially marked table includes unique items, such as puzzles, marked at $1.

Cash, check, and credit/debit payments will be accepted. Proceeds benefit the library through the Library Foundation PALS (People Advocating for Library Services) contributions.
