SPENCER, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — A northwest Iowa non-profit thrift store is stepping up to help rebuild homes destroyed in last year’s flooding.
As part of their one-year anniversary, Fresh Start Market and Boutique in Spencer announced this week that they’d be donating $120,000 to the Clay County Long-Term Recovery Group.
Store officials also said they have donated more than $45,0000 in vouchers to churches, schools, and other community outreach programs.
