A new poll from Morning Consult shows Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has retained her position as the most unpopular governor in the country.
In a release from Iowa Democrats, Reynolds is one of only two governors with a higher disapproval rate than an approval rate. The latest quarterly poll shows the governor with 41 percent approval and 53 percent disapproval; the approval rate is five points lower than it was in the last quarter.
Reynolds has been polled as the worst governor in America for the seventh straight quarter.
The release also points out Trump Administration figures showing Iowa has slipped to 49th in the nation for overall economic performance and 48th for personal income growth. The state is also tops for cancer growth in the nation.
State Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart said in the release, “After a decade of Kim Reynolds’ failed policies and one-party rule, it’s no surprise that Iowans are unhappy with this failed decision-making. In 2026, they’ll have the chance to turn the page and choose leadership that actually works for them.”
