Beginning Monday, Oct. 27, Miller Trucking will temporarily close Bluff Boulevard from South 14th Street to 7th Avenue South to perform infrastructure work on behalf of Iowa American Water Company, a news release says.
The closure is expected to last through Monday, Nov. 10, weather permitting. To accommodate the closure, a detour route will be clearly posted:
- Southbound traffic will be detoured at 2nd Avenue South
- Northbound traffic will be detoured at College Avenue
- The full detour will route traffic from 2nd Avenue South to South 18th Street
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes during this period. “The city appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as improvements are made to local water infrastructure,” the release says.
