The City and School Elections are just under two weeks away – and now until then, we’ll be introducing you to the candidates who will be appearing on this year’s ballots.
This year’s election features a contested race for Manchester City Council’s 2nd Ward, with incumbent Mary Ann Poynor being challenged by Curt Meiner.
Today, we’ll introduce you to Mary Ann Poynor.
Poynor has been a Manchester city council member for more than a decade and is hoping to continue serving the community with a fourth term.
Poynor says she’s excited that the City and City Council are working on a comprehensive plan for Manchester, noting that the results of these conversations and questionnaires will be the basis of what the City works on for the next ten to twenty years.
Poynor faces Curt Meiner in the November 4th City Election for Manchester City Council’s 2nd Ward seat. We’ll hear from Meiner on Friday’s KMCH Local News.
