John Deere employees teamed up with the River Bend Food Bank to start the largest food boxing initiative in the nonprofit’s history.
More than 500 employees took time to work toward a goal of 2,800 packed boxes at John Deere’s Davenport Works plant. Each box serves about 15 meals. The charitable food system needs help filling in gaps during the government shutdown.
Activities like this will continue through the end of the month.
