SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Little ghouls and goblins roamed the aisles of Hy-Vee over the weekend, and there was no need to be frightened as they were all craving sugary sweets.
The newly launched Hy-Vee Kids Club hosted its first event, a Halloween trick-or-treat scavenger hunt. Kids were invited to put on a costume, visit their local Hy-Vee store, search for items on a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt list, enjoy treats, and have some spooky fun.
“It’s something that’s fun for the community,” said Matt Janning, the store director for the Hy-Vee on Hamilton Boulevard. “It’s fun for kids to come in here, be dressed up. Obviously, we like to have fun with this, create an atmosphere that’s just awesome for our customers to shop.”
Along with the Halloween trick-or-treat scavenger hunt, the Hy-Vee Kids Club is planning other themed events, including seasonal celebrations, character events, New Year’s Eve, a grill-out with Dad, and more.
