A Hope House resident has been arrested after allegedly being found with a stolen bike.

According to police, 51-year-old Randolph McClaine was observed at Riverfront Crossings Park with a bike. Officers ran the serial number on the bike and discovered it had been reported stolen.

McClaine was taken into custody, and a post arrest search of his person allegedly discovered a pipe containing drug residue and a suspected rock of crystal meth.

The bike was valued at $700; McClaine’s criminal record showed three previous convictions each for theft and drug possession.

He was charged with 3rd degree theft, third or subsequent possession of controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  If convicted on all counts, McClaine could be sentenced to up to over seven years in prison.
