A 49-year-old Bettendorf man was in custody Saturday after police say he had child pornography, Scott County arrest affidavits show.
Travis Dougherty faces two felony charges of purchase/possess depiction of minor in a sex act – first offense, according to affidavits.
On Friday, a search warrant was served for his residence, person and electronic devices. During the search, two cell phones were found, and Dougherty admitted they belong to him, affidavits say.
An officer saw two images of child pornography and a video of child pornography on one of the cell phones, affidavits show.
After he was read his Miranda Rights, police say Dougherty admitted the email addresses that belong to him are the suspect email addresses to CyberTips that contained more than 200 files of child pornography, affidavits say.
Dougherty was being held Saturday on $10,000 cash-only bond in Scott County Jail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 3 p.m. Nov. 4 in Scott County Court.
