City and school elections are just two weeks away – and absentee voting has begun.
Delaware County Auditor Carla Becker says today is the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail – those requests must be in by 5 pm.
To request an absentee ballot for this election, use the official form available at the Delaware County Auditor’s Office. You can also find the form online at the Delaware County Elections website at delawarecountyelections.iowa.gov or the Iowa Secretary of State’s website at sos.iowa.gov. You’ll need to mail it to: Delaware County Commissioner of Elections, 301 E. Main St., Room 210, Manchester, Iowa 52057.
You can also vote absentee in-person at the Delaware County Auditor’s Office weekdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The last day to vote absentee is Monday, November 3rd.
Pre-Election Day voter registration for this election will close today at 5 p.m. The Delaware County Auditor’s Office highly recommends those wishing to vote in this election to pre-register by today’s deadline. You can also register to vote and cast your ballot on Election Day if you’re able to provide proof of both your identity and residency at the polls.
