An 83-foot tractor trailer is turning heads across the Quad Cities area.
It’s an 1,100-square-foot museum, dedicated to remembering 9/11. It was created by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the lives lost and the heroes who responded that day.
People can see artifacts from Ground Zero, hear first-hand accounts from firefighters, and learn how the attacks changed America.
“We want to educate the young people and the adults be able to come in and see the exhibits. There are several artifacts from ground zero, there’s things from the towers themselves, the facade, the marble floor, all sorts of things from different fire departments who were lost on that day,” said Julie Wagner, the chairman of Mercer County Never Forget.
Admission to the 9/11 Mobile Exhibit is free and will be open from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-7 p.m. Saturday.
