Iowa Athletics announced a major renovation at Finkbine Golf Course.

Athletic Director Beth Goetz said in a release that the renovations, set to begin after the fall golf season, will elevate Finkbine into one of the premier collegiate golf courses.

The Gazette reports the project includes an updated course layout, with the intention to help make the course inviting for all playing levels, as well as the inclusion of “sustainable turf technologies” to help reduce maintenance and water costs. The renovation will extend through 2026.

The clubhouse, pro shop, and Bump’s Restaurant will remain open during the renovation with limited hours.  The new clubhouse, to be named the Nagle Family Clubhouse, will open in the spring, and the old clubhouse will be razed.

Officials say this will be the biggest project on the course since it relocated in the 1950’s.
