ONAWA, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — A campground at an Iowa state park is closed until further notice for hazardous tree removal.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources said the campground at Lewis and Clark State Park is closed for safety concerns; due to the dead or dying cottonwood trees.
Officials say the state park will still be open at this time for daytime activities, but will close once the tree removal begins.
