A 34-year-old Davenport man faces charges after Davenport Police received a report of child sexual abuse, according to Scott County Court arrest affidavits.
Vincent Gillum faces a felony charge of second-degree sex abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor charge of invasion of privacy, and 10 aggravated misdemeanor charges of possession/depiction of a minor in sex acts, affidavits show.
Affidavits say investigators have probable cause to believe the incidents involved an 8- to 9-year-old victim, and “It was alleged (Gillum) also took nude photographs of the victim at
that same time.”
A search warrant during the investigation revealed that Gillum also “captured and possessed dozens of videos of the victim over approximately two years, aged approximately 12-14 years old,” affidavits show.
The videos were taken by hidden cameras in the victim’s bedroom and bathroom, and “the victim was unaware of these videos being taken,” affidavits show.
Gillum was released Saturday on a $50,000 cash-only bond from Scott County Jail, according to affidavits.
