Davenport firefighters rescued three people from a burning home early Thursday morning. The fire call came at around 4:25 a.m to the home in the 2400 block of Zenith Avenue. It’s a two-story home south of West Central Park Avenue and West of Fairmount Street.
Crews were told three people were trapped. District Fire Chief Scott Farnsworth says they arrived to heavy flames coming from the front of the home. He says they were able to attack the fire quickly. Farnsworth says firefighters searched the home and found three people, who were quickly rushed to a hospital. Chief Farnsworth says some pets did not make it out. No word yet what caused the fire.
